A Fabulous Find~ Anthropologie

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed our family holiday and everyone seems to be quite pleased with their gifts. I was pleasantly surprised by having half my gifts this year from Anthropologie. Which is strange, because I didn't even know about this store until a few months ago. Lynn of The Paris Hotel Boutique did a fab blog post showing their magical winter wonderland store displays. That's how I found this shop.
I have decided not to join in on the shopping frenzy in the stores today and instead took a gander online at what else Anthropologie has to offer. And, boy was I surprised... Here are just a few items I could seriously be happy with if they landed in my stocking next year.
The Allamanda Necklace at $45 is the perfect
balance of being romantic, but with an edge.

The Malted Barley Boots at $379 are my favorite for an everyday boot for stomping around in jeans.

The Band of Baubles Bracelet by Nicole Miller at $58
has a little glam rock n' roll feel to it.

The In-The-Clouds Scarf in silk and cotton at $168
looks so dreamy, classy and comfy.

would make any gal look like a Queen even on a bad hair day.

The Rosy Cheeks Jacket on sale for $89.95
looks comfy without being frumpy.

The Prized Rose Ring that comes in cream and pink on sale for $89.95. I could see the cream on a special friend that loves feminine touches with nature themed treasures.

The Weathered Ferris Wheel on sale for $99.95 brings a smile to my face with it's whimsical and architectural aspects. I think my son and Mr. Fabulous, who is an engineer, would both love this piece. Now, that's hard to do. (Well, unless it's a Wii!)
Anthropologie does have some of the best home wares around. So good, it will have to be a separate post, my friends.

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with quality time with family and Santa was good to you. He sure was to my family.

I have two favorite moments:
1. My son, Christian, squealing with delight and jumping all over the dang place while playing his first Wii game. It is a HUGE hit.

2. When my Dad gave me a big hug last night before Christmas dinner and told me I really outdid myself. Moments like that make all the preparations worth it.

What was your favorite part of the holiday
or your favorite gift?

Santa, Oh Santa... Just In Case You Need A Little Hint or Two...

Dear Santa,
I have been nice this year, so thought you might like a few subtle, or not so subtle hints...
First of all, classy lingerie from Frou Frou Fashionista.
Ho... Ho... Ho... Santa...

Absolutely anything from Betsey Johnson, please...

Bliss Linens... You just can't go wrong here.
Luxury never goes out of style...

A fabulous Italian bench from Paris Boutique Hotel... This would be amazing as a piano bench for the three of us. Right? It might actually make me want to play the piano everyday!

Every bloggers dream, a decent camera. Any type will do.

LADURE'E. If you haven't tried it, I must tell you it will be a memorable moment. I've only tried the almonds, so a macaroon might just do the trick. But, I think I 'm becoming addicted! Don't tell my trainer! She can't take this away. No way.

I just finished Vicki Archer's first book, "My French Life" and was delighted with the magnificent photography by Carla Coulson and the brilliant descriptive writing. So, I definitely would love to see "French Essence" in my stocking to take me away to Provence (while the boys play our new Wii for hours).

What's a list without a little CC? This fabulous Chanel ring can be Found here. But, really Santa, any old (code word for vintage) Chanel will do!

Well, that would just about do it! I know, no wish for ending world hunger or world peace. I am so self involved. Tee hee...

What are you putting on your Christmas wish list? Do we have anything vaguely in common?

xo,

Christina

P.S. I am content with my Anthropologie sweater and our Wii Christmas this year.

This is all for good fun.

Ho Ho Ho...

Ho, Ho, Ho to me! This year it seems my Christmas list is so very short. You see, I don't need much at all. What I do want, has a CC on it, Chanel dear friends, and that must wait until Santa's pocketbook is a bit more prosperous. So, I have decided that a sweater from Anthropolie made by Charlie & Robin will do the trick. Plus, my joy during Christmas is watching my son open his presents from Santa. Well, Christian is five and a half and still believes in Santa. It just brings the joy of Christmas to our family and the appreciation for the simple things in life. So, this year will be simple gift exchange for the adults, but filled with special memorable times with family. Leaving cookies for Santa, listening for him to come down the chimney, decorating the tree and looking for reindeer off our balcony are just a few moments that I cherish. In the end, I will be cozy in my new sweater on Christmas Day. Thank you Santa, a.k.a. hubby! Sometimes it is just the simple things. Although, I do know my parents got me a sexy pair of Betsey Johnson stilettos that will rock my personal Santa's world. Tee hee... Life is good.
Wishing you a wonderful beginning to your holiday season.
Are you cutting back this year and checking your list twice too? Or, is it biz as usual this holiday season? Don't feel guilty if it is, as you are blessed my dear friend. Well, actually we are all very blessed. Blessings to you and yours this holiday season.
