Summertime is sleeping in, or getting up early if the beach calls, making pancakes on rainy mornings, or picking fruit at the farmstand to have in the heat of the day, it's making simple syrup for a big pitcher of lemonade, or for a mint julep later in the day, it's taking a bike ride in the morning mist, and pulling back the coverlet for an afternoon snooze on cool, crisp white sheets, it's for running through the sprinkler in cut~offs and a mickey mouse t~shirt (after the mint juleps!) and for painting little girls nails pretty pink when they should be asleep. . . it's for all the things we can't/won't/shouldn't do for the rest of the year~~and guilt is never, ever on the guest list!
Oh... please tell me what is on your mind! Don't be shy, my pretties. Merci!!
Please, let's all be nice and mind our manners. Constructive criticism is appreciated and is always taken best when started with something nice. If it is not constructive, it will not be posted. We all have feelings, darlings. Now type away... I love to hear from you.

ReplyDeleteLovely images. My favorite thing about summer? Fresh corn and evening walks on the beach with the hubs. Sigh.
